Logo Project
The creation of my own personalized logo was extremely fun as well as educational. I learned a lot about sketching out your ideas to create a design and I even learned more about illustrator. It was a long process but it was worth it because I think my final product turned out pretty good.
I had a pretty difficult time coming up with ideas at first. Originally I was going to do a basic shape with my name inside of it but that ended up being too basic. So I thought I could draw me holding a sword next to a basketball and that was too complicated. I also thought I could draw dreads on a basketball but that would have been too complicated for Illustrator. I then switched the shape that my name was going to be in to a diamond. I love theatre so I decided to put the diamond inside a stage. With a friendly suggestion from a friend I switched the diamond shape to a star and ditched the stage idea due to the fact that I would of had to draw a stage with a mouse in Illustrator.
I liked the colors I chose because gold screams stardom to me. I've always been a fan of the black an gold combo and I enjoy how the border transitions from grey to completely black. I chose to have my name in cursive rather than a more modern font because I thought it looked like an autograph from a movie star or something like that. I really loved making my logo and it turned out better than I thought it would.
